The latte art competition will bring together a total of 64 talented participants, each vying for the top spot. What's more, the cream of the crop—32 qualifiers—will be awarded an exclusive wpm milk pitcher, adding to the excitement and prestige of the event.
The competition will span two days, from August 15th to August 16th, giving participants ample time to showcase their skills. The competition hours will be from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, ensuring a thrilling atmosphere filled with creative energy.
JC Coffee Stand, located in the heart of Johor Bahru, Malaysia, will play host to this highly anticipated event. Known for its cozy ambiance and dedication to crafting exceptional coffee experiences, JC Coffee Stand sets the perfect stage for the competition.
To participate in the event, interested individuals must register between June 21st and June 30th. Simply send an email to jctearoom2021@gmail.com with a picture of your barista artwork featuring a Wing base and your Instagram name. Don't forget to attach your masterpiece and include the necessary details. This step will secure your chance to compete alongside other talented baristas.

Free Pour Latte Art Competition Rules (Wing Base)
Competition Rules:
- Each participant will have a time limit of three minutes to complete and submit their latte art creation.
- There is no restriction on the number of extraction or milk frothing attempts during the allocated time. However, failure to submit the finished drink within the time limit will result in disqualification.
Equipment:
- Coffee Machine: Lelit Bianca (PL-162T) X 2 Units
- Coffee Grinder: Compak E6
- Coffee Beans: Brazilian Dark Roast
- Milk: Barista Milk
Scoring Criteria:
- Speed: The time taken to complete the drink.
- Beauty/Balance/Symmetry: The visual appeal, balance, and symmetry of the latte art design.
- Color Depth: The richness and variation of colors in the drink.
- Line Clarity: The precision and clarity of lines or patterns created in the latte art.
- Creativity/Difficulty: The level of innovation and the level of difficulty in the latte art creation.
Judging Process: A panel of three judges will evaluate and score the participants based on the above criteria. The participant with the highest total score will advance to the next round.
